Bullets into Bells: Poets & Citizens Respond to Gun Violence

Horrific gun-related tragedies too often grabbed the headlines in 2017. In the wake of more than a decade of horrific mass shootings, Bullets into Bells features a collection of poems meant to serve as a rallying cry to end all gun violence in America. The foreword is written by former U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and her husband Mark Kelly—who have been outspoken gun-control advocates since the 2011 assassination attempt that left Giffords severely wounded. Each poem is followed by commentary from activists, concerned citizens and political figures, including Samaria Rice and Lucy McBath, mothers of children lost to gun violence.
