School’s out—or soon to be out—for summer. That means play is in, especially at Fuller Craft Museum’s latest exhibit FORTitude: The Art of Play, a companion to its Playtime in the Making exhibit that explores how play contributes to the four stages of creativity. FORTitude, a collaboration between tiny house builder Deek Diedricksen, woodworker/designer Palo Coleman and mural artist Felipe Ortiz, welcomes viewers to incorporate the lessons of playtime while exploring freeform play in the interactive forts and jungle-inspired landscapes. The mixed-media installation also allows museumgoers to immerse themselves alongside bright, tropical scenery such as in Ortiz’s Pacifican Refuge mural.
