Green Places/Green Spaces/Greenhouses

It’s easy being green at Cape Ann Museum’s latest exhibit, Green Places/Green Spaces/Greenhouses. This panoramic photography series by Esther Pullman spans 20 years of the artist’s career, capturing spaces where plants thrive and cultivate. The collection showcases blooming, tri-fold shots highlighting serene settings and exploring themes of time and decay, while bright, earthy color palettes represent rebirth and new life, such as in Stowell Park (seen above), featuring three side-by-side images shot from the interior of a greenhouse looking outward to a lush garden. A longtime Cape Ann summer resident, Pullman set her sights on many structures along Cape Ann and the North Shore. Get a breath of fresh air at Cape Ann Museum from April 13 to June 16. / Caroline Long
