HUBweek 2017

The inventive layout promises to match the ideas at this year’s HUBweek. Billed as a festival that explores how art, science and tech intersect in the future, the event was previously scattered across the city. This year, it finds more centralized digs with most of the events during the final four days of the six-day festival at the Hub on City Hall Plaza, spread throughout 80 shipping containers and six colorful geodesic domes housing performances, installations, parties and many other events. The festival’s three-night Immersion experience includes a silent disco that matches the color of dancers’ headphones to the beats from one of three DJs as well as a showcase of short films meant to be played in a fulldome experience.
