When Meghan Trainor hit the airwaves two years ago she dropped the bass—and some knowledge—on the pop music scene. Her body-positive anthem, “All About the Bass,” with its retro doo-wop stylings, put the bluesy-piped singer on the map and earned her a Grammy nom. But the Nantucket native is no one-hit wonder. Trainor backs up that booty and that swagger on her recently dropped sophomore effort, Thank You, whose fierce new single, the catchy piece of pop candy “Me Too,” finds Trainor opining “If I was you I’d wanna be me too.” And with her 2016 Grammy win for Best New Artist, she ain’t kidding.
