On a Clear Day (You Can See Forever) Exhibit

In his first solo show at the Alpha Gallery, Dave J. Bermingham presents the eye-catching On a Clear Day (You Can See Forever), using mixed media and subtle symbolism to speak to larger social issues. His series Occhi, named for the Italian word for eyes, features circular sculptures with doorknobs that peer out at onlookers like colorful irises. It’s paired alongside his other kaleidoscope-like structures that are crafted from household objects commonly associated with women and arranged in gravity-defying clusters intended as a commentary on the male gaze.
