Sacred Tree Habitat

May the forest be with you at Galatea Fine Art’s latest exhibit, Sacred Tree Habitat, featuring hundreds of photographs, videos and small sculptures created by Justin Freed, who branched out for more than 65 years as a photographer and 25 years as a videographer. This multimedia installation draws from a lifetime of work by Freed exploring the connection between art and healing, such as in Weeping Beech (seen above). The gallery transforms into a semi-black box theater with several screens playing the former Coolidge Corner Theatre owner’s shorts that capture the life cycle of a variety of trees.
