The Bag Lady Manifesta

Brooklyn-based performance artist Taja Lindley combines movement, text, sound and burlesque to represent forgotten black lives in The Bag Lady Manifesta, arriving at Oberon on Nov. 15. Audience members will be invited to participate in a performance ritual, grappling with remembering and letting go, as Lindley wears black trash bags to symbolize the dark corners of herself, the audience and the country. / Cathryn Haight
