The Roots

The legendary Roots crew is trading laughs for the spotlight this December when they step out of Studio 6B—where they plant themselves onstage as the house band on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon—and into the House of Blues. Four Grammys and 30 years after first forming, high school friends Questlove and Black Thought are nowhere close to pulling the plug. The now eight-man band is once again gifting its jazzy riffs and hip-hop rhythms to live audiences with the 2017 Holiday Tour. No thank-you notes are required when the Roots head to the House of Blues on Dec. 26. / Hannah McKennett
