Son of late hair legend Vidal Sassoon, Elan Sassoon has made a career in the family beauty biz, running salons and spas across the country for two decades before teaming up with stylist Marco Evangelisti to open ICON Salon in Newton Centre last fall. Sassoon treasures a pair of his father’s favorite shears (which live in L.A.), as well as these essentials, which have been helping him run the salon and plan an imminent expansion to Boston proper.
