Though it billed itself as a speakeasy-style cocktail lounge when opening, Wink & Nod has surprised and delighted us with its inventive culinary incubator program: Every six months, the kitchen hosts a different pop-up. Now playing with its food is Akinto, a winning Southeast Asian-inspired concept (think mini banh mi and bao buns) steered by Philippines-born chef Patrick Enage under Boston Nightlife Ventures’ new chief culinary officer, City Landing alum Bill Brodsky.
