Notoriously insular Bostonians greeted the Back Bay outpost of the Manhattan-based Luke’s Lobster chain with the kind of squint reserved for Yankees fans. But founder Luke Holden is in fact a native Down Easter and former lobsterman. His casual counter-service spot generously stuffs a stellar, barely dressed lobster salad into a proper toasted split-top bun at a very nice price. You should still seek out the Maine lobster-shack experience in situ, but we’re fortunate to have Luke’s worthy facsimile in town.
