Rather than reinvent the wheel, Spoke’s new team reminds us why we fell in love with this beloved neighborhood spot to begin with. The mournfulness that met its late-2016 shuttering is equaled by our elation over its return under the new ownership of former Spoke bartender Mary Kurth, Ribelle alum chef Eric Frier (performing miracles in a closet-sized kitchen setup) and oenophile Liz Mann, who’s curating a still-knockout selection of biodynamic and small-production wines.
