2018 Winner: Ruckus

The folks behind Chinatown’s Shojo and BLR by Shojo have struck again with Ruckus, a bright, hip-hop-thumping space in which chef Mike Stark puts out sensibly-sized bowls of ramen with consistently great components, notably some utterly fabulous housemade noodles. Of the half-dozen styles of ramen, the highlight here might be the Miso Lit Ramen!!!, featuring a not-overly-fatty, Sapporo-style miso broth garnished with ground pork, grilled corn, beans sprouts, nori and Ruckus paste, a housemade chili condiment that packs a wallop.
