Before Neptune opened 13 years ago, Boston had a not-always-deserved reputation for great seafood restaurants. Thanks to the high bar that this North End standby subsequently set and continues to maintain, we’ve since steadily closed that gap. It starts here with raw bar featuring at least a half-dozen impeccably fresh, perfectly shucked oyster varieties from New England harbors plus a couple from the Pacific Northwest, as well as uni, raw clams and seasonal delicacies like stone crab claws.
