A tiny Jamaica Plain taqueria could be spawning a local chain. Since 2015, when it debuted its closet-sized space near the Stony Brook Orange Line Station, Chilacates has added a second Jamaica Plain location and future openings are planned in Mission Hill, the South End and Chestnut Hill’s buzzy outdoor mall The Street. The tortas are a highlight; we’re talking fillings like spicy chicken tinga and chorizo topped with Monterey jack cheese, refried beans and avocado and jalapeño mayo. We’d love one at every street corner.
