Entrepreneur in residence at Blade and visiting lecturer at Tufts University
In a few words: A classy broad with a dash of hippie.
Credentials: My mom is a big fan of the Grateful Dead and took me to nine shows.
Life lessons: When I was 7, my dad passed away from cancer. My mom raised me and my sister on her own, and she even took in two kids who were having trouble at home.
Eloise experience: When I worked as a paralegal in N.Y., one of my cases went to trial in Palm Beach, and I lived at the Breakers for three months. That’s when I learned how to drink a dirty martini.
L.A. interlude: I worked for an advocacy group pushing climate change legislation, and I had lunch with Alicia Silverstone, met Bill Clinton, watched Gov. Schwarzenegger order cookies at a bakery and had an awkward conversation with Al Gore and Cameron Diaz.
Asian adventures: After auditioning for a yearlong travel project, I got a call from Korea asking if I would host a YouTube show called Sell Your Seoul. I hopped on a plane, chopped through wood in tae kwon do, took an archery class, made kimchi and fell in love with yet another country. After that, I backpacked solo through China, Thailand and Laos.
Outdoorsy much? Nature is my church. I’m a huge hiker, trail runner and sunset hunter. My adopted mutt, Sebbie, is always by my side.
