This local bakery/cafe is a constant hive of activity, drawing daily crowds with its excellent coffee, pastries, salads and sandwiches. But it’s never more attractive than at breakfast, when its sunny corner location makes an eminently comfy spot for a breakfast burrito, smoked salmon on a bagel with proper accoutrements, or a granola-crunchy, fruit-laden yogurt parfait. If you don’t have a dog to take to Peters Park, this is the best place in the neighborhood to get to know South Enders of every sort.
