Union Square’s new French-inspired cafe/restaurant wowed us with its accomplished yet unpretentious cooking at lunch and dinner. But we really wish we lived nearby for Juliet’s breakfasts, with awesome eye-openers like egg-potato-and-cheese tacos, deliciously healthy quinoa bowls and tartines (thick toasts) with clever toppings like avocado and dried fruit. The undeniable showstopper here is the area’s finest, most delicately textured plate of scrambled eggs, proof that technique can lift the most pedestrian dish into something utterly transporting.
