This Kenmore Square staple is so well-loved for its evening cocktail scene that it’s easy to forget how fantastic it is on the other side of the clock. Besides morning classics, the newer, health-conscious dishes don’t sacrifice sophisticated flavor—we’re thinking of egg-white tartine with avocado and radish and the ricotta- and poached egg-topped “salad for breakfast.” ES excels equally as a power-breakfast destination and a pleasant wake-up call summoning Hotel Commonwealth guests from upstairs.
