Ahoy! Longtime Neptune Oyster chef Michael Serpa unanchored himself from the North End to launch his own restaurant, SELECT. Tucked in a Back Bay brownstone, the intimate eatery teems with vibrant, Mediterranean-inspired seafood that feels light and bright, and the bar’s list of craft brews and interesting wines (like “funky” orange styles) make crisp accompaniments to chilled bivalves and fresh crudi. Bonus: Auto-added gratuity ensures servers (actual) living wages and saves us the arithmetic.
