2015 Winner: Mayflour Confections

For Jocelyn Pierce, it’s what’s on the inside that counts. While presentation is a priority, she admits, “It’s more important that it tastes amazing—that’s what I’m all about.” Her previous career in merchandising design and her French Pastry School training have found a perfect marriage in her role as baker/owner of Mayflour Confections, whose cakes—not to mention cupcakes, croquembouches and canelés—feature locally sourced, organic ingredients, including eggs from a farm near her Rockport studio.
