We’re pretty sure most adults who set foot in the Children’s Museum when it’s swarming with kids would love a cocktail or three, which is what greeted guests at its annual black-tie gala, the Wonder Ball.

The evening began with a reception featuring special guests Giuliana and Bill Rancic as well as a Champagne, Scotch and raw bar. It continued with a seated dinner and ended with an after-party, where everyone danced like no one was watching.

Present and accounted for: co-chairs Lianne and Alex Leventhal and Jessica and Sam Slater, the ubiquitous Michael Tarshi and his delectable wife, Adela, newlyweds Melissa Donovan and Paul Karger, absurdly gorgeous duo Brooke Sikora and Lars Gehre, uber do-gooder Saskia Epstein and the improbably tall Paul, party pair Kathryn Burton and Chad Jackson, the naturally carbonated Joanna Flynn and her other half, Bryan, and so on and so forth.

Overheard by the bar: “I don’t have any kids, but I’m very immature to compensate for it.” ◆
