Co-founders Rebecca Arnold and James DiSabatino opened their second Whole Heart Provisions in Cambridge this spring, joining its veggie and grain bowl big sister in Allston. Good luck picking only one favorite ingredient among the just-debuted Levant’s bold Israeli-inspired flavors, from charred Japanese eggplant to red cabbage slaw and spicy-sweet harissa sauce so good you’ll want to take some extra for the road. Along with crispy chickpeas, tahini, cucumbers, tomatoes and pickled cauliflower, the bowl is topped with falafel. “Don’t skimp on the herbs,” Arnold says of her falafel secret. “Ours is bright green when you cut into it.”
