Sushi Momento offers a sweet preview of summer with its mambo mango roll.
A dance of the juicy fruit plus shrimp, crawfish salad, cucumber, avocado and tobiko, the dish is available at the 80-seat spot that opened in January on the street level of Cleveland Circle’s new AC Marriott hotel. “This roll has an exotic tropical flavor, combined with shrimp tenderness,” says owner Jack Huang, who also leads Douzo, Basho Japanese Brasserie and other restaurants throughout the city. Wrapped in a soy paper that’s glazed with sweet mango puree, each bite is a boogie of bright flavors. Says Huang: “It gets you ready for summertime.” / Nathan Tavares
