Academic bona fides: I have a bachelor’s from Swarthmore College, a master’s from Duke University and a law degree from Boston University.
Philanthropic engagement: I serve on the Women’s Lunch Place Young Professional Leadership Committee, Mayor Walsh’s SPARK Boston millennial council, the Urban Land Institute’s Pathways to Inclusion, St. Timothy’s School [Baltimore] Board of Governors and the Esplanade Association Friends Council. I’m also co-president of Youth Villages’ Young Professional Council.
In your spare time, part one: I love my 1-year-old puppy, Buddy, who thinks he weighs 30 pounds but is only 6 pounds. I enjoy attending theater and ballet: The Boston Theater Company and Boston Ballet are my favorites, and I look forward to all of their productions. In 2014, I completed a half-marathon in Kona, Hawaii, to raise funds for the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation.
In your spare time, part two: I like to go horseback riding. I started riding when I was 10 years old, and it’s still one of my favorite activities. As a new hobby, I like assembling floral arrangements.
Food cravings: I love oysters and most seafood. I never get full eating oysters.
Worst trait: I really like using exclamation points!
Romantic deal breaker: Smoking cigarettes.
Most deplorable characteristic in others: Apathy.
Most romantic place in the world: Venice.
What the world needs now: Varied definitions of success, so that people—especially young adults—know that it’s acceptable to follow an unexpected life path. Everyone should try to be extraordinary and let magic happen in their lives.
